Online Surveillance Course V’s 5 Day Physical Surveillance Course?
Titan has been delivering surveillance training since 2017 and has earned the reputation within the industry as the best choice for surveillance training. Why though? This is mainly due to the fact that we don’t only deliver a fully packed professional certificated industry recognised qualification in association with the Institute of Professional Investigators (IPI) which is just above an A level in five days. It’s because we are predominantly an operational investigation agency, so have the ability to offer operational deployments and further development to all successful graduates.
We aren’t one of the conveyor belt UK training providers who deliver a fantastic and professional course and wave goodbye to you on termination after tasking the course fee. Titan and the IPI are invested in your success and leading you to work! Titan only delivers training courses when we require new operatives to meet our operational demand and the courses are generally subsidised by the operational side of the company to keep the cost of the course to an absolute minimum. Most successful learners/ graduates earn their investment in funding the course back within seven operational deployments.
So, which course? Online or physical surveillance course?
Titan’s online surveillance course was developed and produced during the Pandemic when physical courses weren’t permitted to be delivered so that.
- New learners could still be introduced to the industry.
- So that already trained operatives can be further developed.
- Those leaving the public sector were able to experience the transition from the public to private sector.
- So that overseas students could learn the theory of surveillance with the view of attending a physical course post Pandemic.
The online course covers the 17 modules of the theory of surveillance which are delivered during Titan’s industry-recognized certificated five-day surveillance course each morning. There is however no physical or one to one instruction to ensure that the theory has been understood by the learner, unlike the physical surveillance course. This being the case, it is not currently and there are no plans for it to be an industry-recognized certificated course.
The online surveillance course is now provided to all learners as part of Titan’s and the IPI’s five-day RQF Level 4 certificated surveillance course, with 10–15 hours of the pre-course revision to be completed prior to the commencement of the course. However, if you are unable to attend a physical surveillance course or are just interested in learning how surveillance is carried out then this is most definitely the course for you. The online course fee is £360 inclusive of taxes.
The five-day physical surveillance course is most certainly the best way to learn surveillance if you wish to be a practitioner and be introduced into the industry. The physical surveillance course delivers the theory of surveillance as per the online surveillance course and then, on an instructor ratio of no less than one instructor to three learners, delivers the practical application of that knowledge. Titan’s surveillance courses have been a huge success since their introduction in 2017 and have seen other well-established training providers fall by the wayside as their dated conveyor belt courses with little or no work opportunities post course have become less attractive. The 5-day course costs £1200 inclusive of VAT with an admin charge of £420 if the learner wishes to undergo the RQF Level 4 certification process which is payable to the IPI.
The reason Titan has been the learner’s choice is due to its differentiating from other training providers. The way we differ is that we are predominantly an operational investigation agency. So, we don’t just provide learners with knowledge and wave them on their way. We are able to offer operational deployments post-course.
Titan developed the GROW Student Aftercare Programme which provides its graduates with a development post course and ensures their success within the industry.
GROW stands for Group, Recommend, Ongoing support and With you.
So, let’s go through what these areas actually mean.
GROUP – All Titan surveillance course graduates are added to the Titan Operational Resourcing Group. This group is where Titan advertises and resources all of their operational deployments. There are just shy of 300 members who are like-minded and professional surveillance operatives. They are all either sole traders or heads of limited companies and advertise and resource all of their operational deployments on the group. This makes it a busy group which is full of operational deployment opportunities.
Recommend – Our training team and members of the group are always on hand to advise you in regard to equipment, setup, tactics and the law. Titan also has a dedicated one-stop kit shop where learners can purchase the best equipment for their deployments.
More Information visit – https://titansurveillancetraining.co.uk/kit-shop/
Ongoing Support – We allocate each Graduate a mentor whose role is to offer sound advice from experience and ease them into the industry gently. When we can’t allocate a mentor, the training team performs this role.
With You – The first operational deployment is where a new operative is judged and can be the make and break of their future career. As a result, the Graduate is encouraged to speak to their mentor or the Titan training team prior to their first deployment to discuss the briefing and the objectives. Where possible we endeavour to deploy with the operative; however, this isn’t always possible.
How do I gain further information in regard to Titan’s training courses?
We have recorded an episode on the Titan PI TV YouTube channel which is informative and can be watched at any time.
Will I get a job once I have successfully completed a course?
Once our Graduates complete the surveillance course, they are added to the Titan Operational Resourcing Group where operational deployments are advertised and resourced. When a surveillance task is allocated to a Graduate, it is on a subcontractor basis and they will be paid no less than £25 per hour for a minimum of five hours and any mileage incurred during the task at £0.40 per mile.
