What is EyeDetect Lie Detector Testing?

Titan are one of only a few UK companies who are able to offer EyeDetect which is an innovative relatively new lie-detection tool. It detects slight fluctuations in the eyes that indicate truth or dishonesty. EyeDetect is less intrusive than the Polygraph test and highly accurate, making it an invaluable tool for investigating criminal cases, workplace and matrimonial investigations.

EyeDetect is a powerful tool in search for the truth whatever your requirement, whether you are a corporate or private client. The testing process is short, accurate, instant and affordable compared to Polygraph testing. EyeDetect instantly informs you of the results with an accuracy of 90%.

As with Polygraph testing, EyeDetect allows three questions to be asked of the subject but in multiple ways. There are no wires or sensors connected to the subject; they simply sit 60 centimetres away from two cameras. These cameras watch and monitor the eyes as they read prepared statements. Once the test starts it can’t be stopped, and it states approximately 30 minutes. The subject has six seconds to answer the statements by clicking on true or false using a computer mouse. Contact lenses and glasses can be worn during the test as long as the glasses are not heavily tinted, and the contact lenses aren’t coloured.

Polygraph vs EyeDetect

For almost a century, the Polygraph test has been the only viable solution within the field of deception detection. After 10 years of research scientists have developed an alternative, yet equally effective solution that can be used as an alternative to the Polygraph test.

What affect do drugs, alcohol, stimulants and prescription drugs have on the outcome of EyeDetect testing?

Any substance or medication that affects reaction time, eye movement or pupil dilation in general will affect comprehension, eye behaviour and cognitive load. In this situation, test results in an EyeDetect exam may be affected and produce an inconclusive result. However, this will not allow a person to pass or fool the software.
