The concept of lie detection has been around for centuries, and the methods used to determine the truth have evolved over time. One such method that has gained significant attention in recent years is the EyeDect system by Converus.

EyeDect Lie Detection is a valuable addition to our suite of investigation services. This cutting-edge technology utilises advanced eye-tracking technology to accurately detect lies and deception in real-time. We provide a nationwide service with qualified examiners utilising EyeDetect software and system. The fee of £500 + VAT (equivalent to £600) is required when the examination is conducted at our Derby office, or £550 + VAT (£660) if the testing is to be done in your home/office. This same-day lie detection testing service is available 7 days a week nationally.

The polygraph test, also known as a lie detector test, is an effect tool used to detect whether someone is lying or telling the truth. Although not considered to be 100% accurate or indeed foolproof it can be used to quickly uncover the truth but thid is not always admissible in court as evidence.

The EyeDect system works by analysing the movements of the eyes when an individual is answering questions. The system uses a high-speed camera to track the movements of the eyes, measuring various metrics such as gaze, blink rate, and pupil dilation. The system then compares the results to a baseline established during a calibration process, which measures the individual’s natural eye movements. If the results of the test show significant deviations from the baseline, it is an indication that the individual may be lying.

EyeDetect uses 3 questions in multiple formats, with no wires or sensors connected to the subject. They must be seated 60 cm from two cameras which watch and monitor the eyes as they read statements. The test cannot be stopped and lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which time the subject will click true or false on a computer mouse for each statement given within 6 seconds. Contact lenses and glasses can be worn, as long as they are not tinted or coloured in any way.
